The Horse Boy Foundation exists because real people reach moments where the usual paths no longer work.
Families who have tried everything – all the orthodox therapies and learning techniques – and yet nothing has worked. Children who are expected to cope in systems not designed for them and who are falling through the cracks. Practitioners who know there must be a better way than the coercive methods they have been pushed into, but lack the resources to pursue better training.
Our impact lives in where pressure gives way to understanding and cooperation — and where movement, relationship, and environment open doors that had seemed closed. Neuroplasticity and lives impacted for the better are the outcomes.

What We Mean by Impact
Impact, for us, is not about quick fixes or surface-level change.
It is about changed systems, changed trajectories.
A child who can finally self-regulate enough to learn. A family who discovers connection instead of constant conflict. A practitioner who gains the tools — and the confidence — to work ethically and effectively. A teacher who sees a class dismissed as no hopers exceeding all academic predictions. A veteran or abuse survivor discovering resilience, and that they can not just survive but thrive. A nonverbal autistic child not just finding their first words but going on to find independence employment, a fulfilled and fulfilling life
These changes rarely happen all at once. They unfold over time, often quietly, but with lasting effect. The systems and structures that support this process, as what we support.

Many of the families supported by the Foundation arrive after years of being told that more pressure, more control, or more compliance is the answer. Only to fail and fail again.
What they often discover instead is that learning begins when the nervous system feels safe.
Parents describe moments that may look small from the outside — a child settling, making eye contact, engaging with curiosity — but that represent profound shifts in possibility.
Practitioners at Work
The Foundation’s impact also extends to supporting the people doing the work.
Through scholarships and support for training, practitioners are able to deepen their understanding of movement, regulation, and relationship — and to bring that understanding into their daily practice.
This creates a ripple effect: better-trained practitioners mean better experiences for families, and more sustainable, ethical and effective work over time, with lasting outcomes.

Reach & Continuity
Over the years, the Foundation has supported work across dozens of countries, cultures, and learning contexts.
While the specific forms of support evolve, the underlying commitment remains constant: to increase access to approaches that respect how humans — and horses — actually learn and thrive.
Equine Well-Being
We support the highest standard of equine well-being. The Takhin Equine Integration program in particular pairs adults with trauma, and neuro-divergence with therapy horses that need maintenance and rehab creating empowerment for the human and well-being in mind and body for the horse.

Looking Forward
The work supported by the Foundation continues to evolve as understanding deepens.
Future impact includes expanding access, strengthening practitioner capacity, supporting research, engaging thoughtfully with emerging conversations around equine welfare and persuading law makers to change education and therapy policies in favour of nature based, neuroscience backed, rather than coercive, and ultimately ineffective approaches.
